In the first four months of 2025, exports from the city of Dongguan, located in Guangdong province, southern China, to Latin America reached 14.8 billion yuan (approximately US$2.06 billion). This volume represents a 9.8% increase over the same period last year, according to recent data from Huangpu Customs. This significant increase demonstrates the consolidation of trade relations between China and Latin American countries, particularly Brazil.

The growth in Dongguan's exports represents an important step forward in Sino-Brazilian trade integration, especially in the industrial and technological sectors. For Brazil, this partnership with China means access to high-quality electronic components, favoring global competitiveness and Chinese investment in the local production chain.

The growth in exports reflects China's policy of market diversification and the search for strategic partnerships in emerging regions, such as Latin America. At the same time, Brazil has intensified its efforts to expand exports and attract Chinese investment, creating a virtuous cycle of economic growth and bilateral cooperation.
