On May 12, Brazil's Ministry of Communications signed a Memorandum of Understanding with State Post Bureau of China, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the two countries, increasing the quality of services provided and making the postal sector more efficient and accessible to the population.
The initiative provides for concrete actions, such as the exchange of knowledge on postal legislation and regulations, public policies, quality standards, addressing services and the provision of universal services. Technical training and the exchange of best practices between postal and express operators in the two countries are also planned.
"This cooperation with China will allow for a rich exchange of experiences and technologies, with a direct impact on improving the quality of services provided to the population. We are talking about more postal and digital inclusion, especially in the most remote areas of the country, where the postal service is essential for connecting people, businesses and public policies," said the Minister of Communications of Brazil, Frederico de Siqueira Filho.
