Brazil's Minister of Civil Affairs goes to China and prepares partnerships with train and metro companies

On April 27, Brazil's Minister of the Civil House, Rui Costa, began preparatory talks for President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's trip to China. According to Rui Costa, his mission to China should also result in infrastructure works.


With the rolling stock manufacturer CRRC, the focus of the meeting was to expand partnerships for metros, trams and trains through the New PAC projects. The company already has investments in metros in the cities of São Paulo and Belo Horizonte.


The minister also visited the headquarters of the Chinese company CCCC and met with entrepreneurs from the infrastructure sector. With China's Windey Energy, the Brazilian government's aim is to expand investment interaction.


In addition to Rui Costa, the delegation also includes the Minister of Communications, Frederico Filho, the President of Petrobras, Magda Chambriard and the President of Transpetro, Sérgio Bacci.
