Coopercon-BA, a Brazilian purchasing cooperative linked to the Construction Industry Union of the State of Bahia (Sinduscon-BA), will take part in a business mission to China from 17 to 26 October, with the aim of seeking suppliers, learning about technologies and identifying business opportunities for the construction sector. The delegation will include the cooperative's President, Ângelo Simões, and representatives of the Federation of Industries of the State of Bahia (FIEB).

The programme will begin at the Canton Fair in Guangzhou. Visits are planned to Huawei Ark One in Shenzhen, and to the DaFang AI factory in Dongguan, which develops robots for construction finishing work. In Foshan, participants will visit a social housing project and an aluminium formwork factory. The mission will end in Hong Kong.

The cooperative intends to broaden contacts with international manufacturers and suppliers and to assess solutions suited to the needs of its member companies. The analysis will take into account commercial conditions, quality, availability, logistics and adaptation to the Brazilian market.

The initiative follows on from the rapprochement between the Bahian construction sector and the Chinese market. In 2025, Sinduscon-BA carried out a mission to China, with technical visits and meetings with entities from the construction, engineering and technology sectors.
