Recently, the BRT (Bus Rapid Transit) system, previously planned for Águas Lindas de Goiás (in the Brasília metropolitan area) under the PAC program, was officially scrapped in favor of a high-capacity rail model.

The decision, confirmed by André Oliveira, CEO of Companhia de Desenvolvimento de Águas Lindas (Codeal), aims to implement a more durable and efficient mode of transport by 2026. The main project envisages a 22 km line connecting Águas Lindas de Goiás directly to the Ceilândia Metro integration terminal.

The project benefits from the expertise of China's PCI Technology Group, a giant in artificial intelligence and smart city solutions. PCI Technology Group, responsible for China's first smart station, sees Brazil as a priority market. According to the company's president, Chen Jiao, the goal is to apply in Entorno the technological solutions developed and tested over the last decades on Chinese soil.
