Recently, a delegation from Brazil's Ministry of Integration and Regional Development (MIDR) visited the Port of Gaolan in Zhuhai, one of the main terminals in the Greater Bay Area and a strategic point for strengthening trade with Brazil. While in the city, MIDR representatives visited the headquarters of the Sino-Latin American Integrated Economic and Trade Services Platform.

During the visit, the Minister of Integration and Regional Development, Waldez Góes, participated in three meetings related to the new direct sea route between the Greater Bay Area (Guangdong-Hong Kong Macau) and the Port of Santana das Docas, in Amapá. The goal is to strengthen international trade with a focus on regional development, bioeconomy, and productive integration.

"The maritime route reduces logistics costs, shortens transport times, and strengthens bilateral trade. The first ship is expected to arrive soon at the Port of Santana, confirming the progress of the initiative. This connection expands the presence of Amazonian products in the Asian market and intensifies trade with Latin America," said Waldez Góes.
