Brazil and China participate in the 19th meeting of the Joint Projects Committee (JPC) at INPE

The Brazilian National Institute for Space Research (INPE) and the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST) are taking part in the 19th meeting of the Joint Projects Committee (JPC).  The meeting was attended by several INPE coordinators and specialists and representatives from various CAST sectors.


The meeting presented the orbit status of the two satellites in operation, the quality of the images generated, the application segment, payload management and the control segment. Continuing their cooperation, they discussed CBERS-5 and CBERS-6.


Since Brazil and China formally signed the CBERS-06 Cooperative Development Protocol in April 2023, CAST and INPE have been working closely together to actively carry out the demonstration of the CBERS-6 Satellite Program and their respective national project establishment work under the leadership of the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB) and the China National Space Administration (CNSA).
