Recently, Associação Acreditar de Santa Catarina de Santiago received a vehicle and a donation of 836,000 escudos as part of the celebrations for International Day of Persons with Disabilities. The donation was made by the President of the National Assembly, Austelino Correia, and the Chinese Ambassador to Cape Verde, Zhang Yang.

The Hiace vehicle and financial support will enable a more efficient response to the needs of children with special needs in the municipality. The amount donated by the Chinese Embassy includes 720,000 escudos for hiring a driver for two years, as well as support for fuel.

Austelino Correia emphasized that the support aims to strengthen the work of the Acreditar Association and reinforced Parliament's commitment to equal opportunities. For his part, Ambassador Zhang Yang highlighted the depth of the friendship between China and Cape Verde, reaffirming his country's commitment to supporting social initiatives that promote inclusion.
