The International Relations Committee of the São Paulo State Legislative Assembly recently welcomed Yu Peng, Chinese Consul General in São Paulo, to discuss Sino-Brazilian friendship and cooperation ties.
In recent years, China has become Brazil's main trading partner. More than 300 Chinese companies operate in the state, driving the growth of industries in various sectors, projects such as the Santos-Guarujá Tunnel, and the dissemination of Chinese culture through events, language teaching, and the creation of centers that contribute to regional development.
“China and Brazil are moving forward together in building a community with a shared future, and relations between the two countries are currently experiencing their best political moment,” said Yu Peng.
Nelson Antônio Tabajara, ambassador and head of the Representative Office in the State of São Paulo (Eresp), highlighted the similarity of views in diplomatic relations between the two countries on issues such as combating hunger, science and technology, sustainability, and trade.
