Recently, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said during a phone call with Minister of Foreign Affairs of Brazil Mauro Vieira that China is ready to strengthen strategic mutual trust with Brazil, firmly support each other, and deepen practical cooperation in various fields between the two countries.

China-Brazil relations are at their best moment in history, Wang noted, adding that Chinese President Xi Jinping and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva have built solid mutual trust and friendship, and together provided important strategic guidance for building a China-Brazil community with a shared future, Wang said.

Vieira said that President Xi had a telephone conversation with President Lula two weeks ago, for which the Brazilian side is grateful. Brazil hopes to strengthen communication and coordination with China and relevant parties, explore ways to support the multilateral trading system, and promote the reform of the World Trade Organization, Vieira said.
