Recently, the 10th Brazilian Soybean Congress (CBS), the most important event in this sector, which takes place every two years, was held in Campinas (SP). Geng Suping, vice president of business for Latin America at DBN Biotech, participated in the event.
Geng arrived in Brazil with a mission: to promote the biotechnology developed by the company founded in 2011 and specialized in the development of solutions for agriculture, mainly soybeans, whose main buyer is China itself in a scenario that is only likely to grow.
Located in the Zhongguancun district of Beijing, DBN Biotech owns the DBN Phoenix International Innovation Park, a biotechnology research, development, and innovation complex. They have already developed GMO (genetically modified) seeds of soybean varieties approved for cultivation and use in Brazil in April this year, authorized by the regulatory agency Brazilian National Technical Biosafety Commission (CTNBio). Their goal is to consolidate themselves in the country as a major supplier of genetically modified soybean seeds by 2028.
