The 16th Brasil AgroChemShow, to be held on August 12 and 13 at Expo Center Norte in São Paulo (SP), will be attended by Jalen Fan, deputy director of Division 1 of the CCPIT Sub-Council of Chemical Industry (CCPIT CHEM).

During his presentation, Jalen Fan will address innovations in the agricultural pesticides sector, with an emphasis on the transformations underway in China. China is the world’s largest producer of generic pesticides and a leader in the development of molecules, more sustainable formulations, and high-tech applications in the field.

The strengthening of Sino-Brazilian cooperation will be another highlight. “China is currently the main supplier of pesticides to Brazil, the largest global consumer market, and the launch of the National Program for the Reduction of Pesticides (Pronara) by the Brazilian government opens up opportunities for partnerships focused on biological solutions and sustainable practices,” he points out. According to him, with more than 2,000 approved biopesticides and 165 active ingredients registered globally, the Chinese industry is prepared to contribute to Brazil’s environmental and food safety goals.
