The executive secretary of the Ministry of Communications, Sônia Faustino, recently completed a series of meetings in Beijing, China, focused on exchanging experiences with the local government on technology and connectivity. 

The first meeting was with Zhang Yunming, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. At the meeting, Sônia Faustino discussed topics such as the National Submarine Cable Policy, aimed at expanding digital infrastructure in the country. The project aims to increase internet capacity and speed, as well as promote regional balance in access to international data networks.

On the same day, the executive secretary met with Shen Hongyan Sheng Huiping, deputy director of the State Post Bureau. The meeting focused on the exchange of experiences between the postal sectors of China and Brazil. Sônia Faustino also addressed the Brazilian postal sector reform project and its challenges.
