Representatives from Brazil's Office of the Attorney General (AGU) and the Chinese Embassy in Brasilia held talks on May 27 to advance bilateral cooperation in legal protections for foreign investment and cultural exchanges within the legal framework.
A key outcome was the agreement to update the 2018 "Legal Security Guide for Foreign Investors in Brazil." This initiative reaffirms AGU's commitment to enhancing legal safeguards for foreign direct investment, ensuring transparency in regulatory documents and access to strategic information.
In another significant development, both parties agreed to establish specialized Mandarin language and Chinese culture training programs for AGU personnel. This aims to improve direct communication with Chinese officials and investors.
"The mastery of Mandarin and understanding of Chinese culture represent strategic advantages for Brazil's civil service, particularly given the deepening economic ties between our nations," emphasized João Henrique Bayão, Head of AGU's International Affairs Advisory.
