Angola and China aim to promote economic diversification

Angola and the People's Republic of China plan to organize a business meeting in Luanda to explore opportunities that promote economic diversification and technology transfer. The announcement was made following a recent meeting between the Minister of External Relations of Angola, Téte António, and the Chinese ambassador, Zhang Bin.


A press release from the Ministry of External Relations of Angola highlights that the two parties reviewed the current state of bilateral cooperation between Angola and China, with a focus on various sectors of the Angolan economy.


In this context, Téte António emphasized the importance of Chinese investments in Angola’s reconstruction and economic development process. For his part, the Chinese diplomat reaffirmed his country’s continued support for Angola’s efforts to achieve its sustainable development goals and expressed satisfaction with the level of political dialogue and mutual trust between Luanda and Beijing.
