Ambassador of China to Mozambique Zheng Xuan Meets with Catherine Sozi, UN Resident Coordinator in Mozambique

Recently, Zheng Xuan, Ambassador of China to Mozambique, met with Catherine Sozi, United Nations Resident Coordinator in Mozambique.


Ambassador Zheng stated that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations. She emphasized that China has always firmly upheld the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, supports the UN in playing its central role in international affairs, and reiterated that UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 is not subject to dispute. China is willing to work with the UN to continue contributing to global peace and development, including in Mozambique.


Sozi highly praised China’s contributions to the development of both the United Nations and Mozambique in various fields, and expressed her willingness to further strengthen cooperation with China within the UN framework, enhance humanitarian assistance to Mozambique, and improve the well-being of the Mozambican people.
