Angolan Ambassador to China João Salvador dos Santos Neto has said representatives of Angola and China may sign today or tomorrow an agreement on a new framework for financial co-operation, Angop reports.

The Angolan state-run news agency also quotes Mr Neto as saying a line of credit, to be arranged  by the China Development Bank for the Angolan Ministry of Finance, is being negotiated during Angolan President João Lourenço’s two-day state visit to China, which began today.

While Mr Lourenço is in China, he and Chinese President Xi Jinping are expected to sign four agreements, including an agreement on the line of credit and a double-taxation agreement, Angop says.

In a separate report, an Angolan newspaper, Novo Jornal, says Mr Lourenço will visit tomorrow the research and development facilities of Chinese telecommunications company Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, and other places of business in the northeastern Chinese city of Tianjin.
