On March 23, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Ji Xianzheng received a delegation headed by the President of the China Foreign Trade Centre, Chu Shijia. The two sides exchanged views on the implementation of the cooperation agreement signed, the establishment of closer ties, the promotion of the participation of exhibitors from Portuguese-speaking countries, and the strengthening of economic and trade exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

The meeting was attended by: Coordinator of the Executive Office, Ms Li Xiaohui; Coordinator of the Support Office, Ms Teresa Mok; Deputy Director General of the China Foreign Trade Centre, Mr Wen Zhongliang; Head of Administration Office of the China Foreign Trade Centre, Mr Xu Jiansheng, and others. In the afternoon of the same day, representatives from Portuguese-speaking countries were invited to attend the 2023 Promotion Conference of the 133rd Canton Fair in Macao.
