At the 2025 China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), which recently concluded in Beijing, the participation of Portuguese-speaking countries was particularly noteworthy. At this event, products such as coffee, chocolate, and wine from Brazil filled the stands, attracting many visitors.

With the theme “Embracing smart technologies, empowering trade in services,” this year's CIFTIS reflects the evolution and innovation of the sector in China, highlighting that the digital economy has become a key link in the Sino-Portuguese connection.

Health services were also highlighted. This year's CIFTIS included a thematic exhibition showcasing achievements in traditional Chinese medicine, digital health, and wellness tourism.

With the continued expansion of China's high-level opening up, trade in services has become a new growth point in cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. Whether in the digital economy or traditional sectors, cooperation is gaining more and more space on this stage, deepening mutual benefit.
