Cape Verde and China sign protocol for the comprehensive rehabilitation of three schools

In Praia, Cape Verde and the People's Republic of China recently signed a protocol for the comprehensive rehabilitation of three schools in the archipelago, strengthening the historic partnership between the two countries. Built a few years ago with the support of Chinese cooperation, these schools will be modernized to meet current needs.


The signing ceremony was attended by the head of Economic Affairs at the Chinese Embassy in Cape Verde, Wang Shicai, and the Minister of Education, Amadeu Cruz. On the occasion, according to a statement, Minister Amadeu Cruz detailed the plans for the interventions and highlighted the importance of Chinese support for improving Cape Verde's educational infrastructure and for the digital transition.


The minister also highlighted the breadth of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the education sector. Since 2016, around 300 young Cape Verdeans have attended courses at various Chinese universities, demonstrating the Chinese commitment to training Cape Verdean executives.
