The president of ApexBrasil, Jorge Viana, recently highlighted that, following an agreement made with the Chinese company Mixue during President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's official visit to China, the company will start importing a great amount of fruit pulp from all over Brazil.

According to Viana, this partnership will drive the modernization of the Brazilian fruit industry and allow Brazil's local fruit specialties to obtain a higher commercial value through stable purchase orders, while helping Brazilian fruit to expand into the international market.

The Brazilian Association of Fruit and Derivatives Producers and Exporters (Abrafrutas) also participated in the Brazilian mission to China and is an important ally in promoting national fruits. According to the association’s president, Guilherme Coelho, with ApexBrasil’s support, the association signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Produce, and Animal By-Products (CFNA).

According to Abrafrutas, in 2024 Brazil exported over 1 million tons of fruits, generating revenue exceeding USD 1.287 billion, an increase of nearly 4% in value compared to 2023.
