Between March 31 and April 4, in São Paulo, the Brazilian Network Information Center (NIC.br), in partnership with the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee (CGI.br), promoted a training course in quantum computing, with the support of Chinese scientists from the Suzhou Quantum Center (Quantum Science and Technology Yangtze River Delta Industrial Innovation Center).
Organized by Antonio Moreiras, manager of Projects and Development at NIC.br, and Percival Henriques, CGI.br advisor, the course offered an immersion in the quantum universe, with the opportunity to use a real quantum computing platform in the cloud, accessed remotely in China.
"NIC.br staff can have this training, how to do it, how to think about programming, think about algorithms using this quantum computing paradigm, which is different from classical computing," said physicist Amílcar Rabelo de Queiroz, one of the mediators of the exchange between the Brazilian and Chinese institutions.
