According to the 33rd Fenabrave Congress, held recently at the São Paulo Expo in Brazil, the country gained 1,125 new dealerships last year, and this increase is not expected to have come from traditional brands in the country.
Chinese brands such as BYD, GWM, and GAC, for example, have boosted the sector, which has seen record growth since last year, bringing the country's dealer network to 8,225 establishments. And it's not just cars and light commercial vehicles, but also trucks, buses, motorcycles, road implements, and agricultural machinery.
Several Chinese brands are arriving or have already established themselves in the country, and each one wants its own network of dealerships ready to go. Traditional names in the sector, which have only worked with major brands until now, have turned to the Chinese, who seem to have chosen well who to seek out. This counts for a lot, and the sector would have no way of expanding without their arrival, which will bring even more.
