China highlights role of media in boosting bilateral relations

China’s ambassador in Angola, Gong Tao, who was speaking at a lecture on China-Angola relations after visiting the headquarters of Edições Novembro, noted that the relationship between the media in China and Angola has become closer, playing an important role in strengthening the relations between the two countries.

During his lecture, the diplomat also highlighted the fact that there are currently Angolan journalists attending training in China. On the other hand, he mentioned that his country will continue to contribute to the socio-economic development of Angola.

“Angola and China have always been united in mutual assistance and have achieved important results in the exchange and cooperation in various areas,” the ambassador said.

Trade between Angola and China reached a value of 27,3 billion US dollars in 2022. The two countries are strategic partners, with political-diplomatic and cooperation relations that have seen a remarkable increase since 2000, leading to the signing of several legal instruments in the social, commercial and business fields.
