Brazilian startups develop simulators for hydroelectric dams at SPIC Brazil

After advances perceived by SPIC Brasil in simulators used in the operation of the hydroelectric plant São Simão, which has a capacity of 1,710 MW, the projects developed by startups AQS Tecnologia and Sense + will soon be available to the market.

The parties signed a contract with the Chinese generator just over a year ago, within the scope of Aneel’s R&D program for the development of solutions for the electricity sector.

AQS Tecnologia develops a virtual hydro power plant project, a tool that allows practical training and prediction of maneuvers through the virtual environment of a hydroelectricity. Another ongoing project is run by Sense+ and is based on the immersive concept and extended reality, with the application of smart glasses that allows remote collaboration, to reduce the risk of operational accidents.
