Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce to open Xiamen office

The Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce will open next month a new permanent office in the southern Chinese city of Xiamen to promote Brazilian business there, the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism has announced.

The ministry posted a written statement on its website saying the office will be opened during the meeting of representatives of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, or the BRICS countries, which will take place in Xiamen from 3 September to 5 September.

The statement quotes an official of the ministry, Alberto Alves, as saying: “We need to adapt the Brazilian tourism industry to welcome visitors from China and offer packages that meet the expectations of that distinct market.”
